Plan Grade
Overview
PlanGrade was developed as a specialized online platform connecting students with professional architects for project review and evaluation. The platform allows students to submit their architectural projects through a structured workflow, make the required payment, and receive professional feedback from qualified architects. On the other side, architects can access assigned projects, review submitted work, and provide their professional evaluation. A backend-driven project management system was implemented to manage the complete submission and review lifecycle, including users, projects, payments, reviews, and commission handling. The platform also provides administrative functionality for managing users, projects, architects, transactions, and overall platform operations. The development focused on creating a secure, structured, and scalable workflow that could support multiple user roles while keeping the project submission, payment, review, and commission processes organized and easy to manage.
The challenge
The main challenge was developing a multi-role platform where students, architects, and administrators each have different responsibilities and access levels. The system needed to manage the complete workflow from paid project submission → project assignment/review → architect feedback → commission processing, while keeping the data and transaction flow consistent. Another key challenge was implementing secure payment and commission logic, ensuring that platform transactions could be properly tracked and managed. Role-based access and backend validation were also essential to prevent unauthorized access to projects, reviews, and financial information. The platform therefore required a reliable backend architecture capable of handling project management, payment processing, architect reviews, role-based workflows, and commission management in a single integrated system.
